Bringing high-class classic country sounds to the south coast, Way Out West (or WOW for short!) are one of the hottest new bands around!

Founded by the duo of Bryon Winslade and Dave Crozier, formerly the creative lynchpins of local country / rock'n'roll outfit The Travelling Band, Way Out West started life as an acoustic country music trio, featuring Bryon, Dave and mandolinist Chris (affectionately referred to within the band as "Superdude"!). From their formation in the latter stages of 2010, the new trio hit the ground running with a series of appearances at some of the south coast's best-known acoustic venues.

In 2011, the Way Out West Country Music Club was born - hosted at the legendary Blue Coconut Club in Pulborough, the club featured Way Out West as the resident band, and also played host to a variety of visiting country music performers.

Over the months that followed, the band evolved into an electric lineup, augmented by the sounds of Peter Clifton (who joined the band as a bassist but quickly switched to electric lead guitar), John Wyatt (electric bass) and Graham Baldey (drums), adding a whole new dimension to the band's sound!

Fast forward to the present day and Way Out West can be seen performing at an eclectic mix of venues, in duo, trio and full band lineups. Exciting, dynamic and fun, and presenting fine country music, wherever Way Out West are seen you'll hear audiences shouting "WOW!"
